Wuzhen is the most famous — a thousand-year-old canal town 80 km away. Tangqi (28 km) is nearest and free to enter. Nanxun is the most peaceful, with unique East-meets-West mansions from the silk trade era.

Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport (HGH) connects to major Asian hubs. High-speed trains connect Hangzhou to Beijing (4.5–6 hours), Xi'an (6.5–7.5 hours), and Nanjing (1 hour). The city has excellent transportation links.
